A 'fitting' qualification for Neil
Congratulations to our business account manager Neil Mullins, who has just passed an official water supply regulations course.
For the last six months, Neil has been studying for the BPEC Water Regulations qualification, compliant with the Water Fittings Regulations 1999. The course was an entirely self-learning process, with an exam at the end.
The qualification allows Neil to inspect customers' water fixtures and fittings and assess if they are compliant with the regulations, which are in place to prevent contamination and inefficient use of water.
If a customer's pipework is non-compliant, Neil is qualified to advise a plan of action, arrange remedial work on behalf of the customer and answer any questions they might have.
"I'm really proud to have earned this qualification and to be able to officially advise our customers on this complex subject matter," said Neil.
"I've been an account manager for 17 years now and think it's great that I can still learn new skills and develop my knowledge. The company has been very supportive and encouraging while I studied this course."
Neil is due to receive an official certificate and competency card to demonstrate his new qualification.
